Job Description

Canonical is seeking a GitOps Engineering Manager to lead a distributed team focused on pioneering and improving large-scale IS, supporting Canonical and Ubuntu operations, and shaping managed application service offerings. The role requires a Linux and operations expert with strong team leadership skills to drive DevOps and cloud-native operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in daily agile devops practices
• Represent the IS team to stakeholders
• Organize and drive internal projects
• Mentor engineers
• Identify and measure team health
• Implement engineering and operations processes
• Ensure team focus on priorities
• Meet service level agreements
• Deliver quality managed services

Requirements

• Drive and track record of exceeding expectations
• Experience with software delivery using infrastructure as code
• Experience managing DevOps teams for SaaS
• Understanding of testing methodologies
• Technical aptitude for complex systems
• Experience with cloud topologies
• Ability to travel twice a year
• Exceptional academic record
