Canonical is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to perfect enterprise infrastructure DevOps practices, focusing on automation and high-quality standards for their open source portfolio. The role involves deploying and running OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other open source applications, with a strong emphasis on Python software development and operational experience in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, storage solutions, and open source applications
• Apply DevOps practices
• Identify and address incidents
• Monitor and observe applications
• Anticipate potential issues
• Enable product refinement
• Work with the entire stack from bare-metal to Kubernetes

Requirements

• Degree in software engineering or computer science
• Python software development experience
• Operational experience in Linux environments
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment or operations
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year
