Job Description

Canonical is seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to expand their open source software solutions to Global 500 enterprises and startups. The role involves building and executing territory plans, developing new pipelines, closing contracts, and managing customer relationships to meet and exceed sales targets. This is a remote position with a focus on driving adoption of Ubuntu and other enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company and its solutions
  • Build and execute territory plans
  • Develop new pipeline through outreach
  • Close contracts to meet sales targets
  • Manage customer relationships
  • Work with field engineers to propose solutions
  • Maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce
  • Establish relationships with key influencers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (engineering or computer science preferred)
  • Experience with open source technology
  • Detail-oriented with effective follow-up
  • Experience in enterprise software sales
  • Track record of achieving sales targets
  • Self-discipline for a distributed team
  • Professional English language skills
  • Ability to travel
