Canonical is seeking an Associate Support Engineer to provide technical support for customers using Ubuntu and open source products. This globally remote role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing support cases, contributing to knowledge bases, and collaborating with a distributed team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Linux, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via telephone, email, and web
• Manage support cases from qualification to resolution
• Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles
• Draft technical notices
• Prioritize tasks
• Maintain regular team communication
• Participate in weekend working rotation

Requirements

• Exceptional academic record
• Undergraduate degree in a technical field
• Linux troubleshooting experience
• Knowledge of Linux server administration, programming, networking, or virtualization
• Strong written and verbal English skills
• Ability to learn quickly and handle pressure
• Appreciation for diversity
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year
