Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer to provide technical support to customers using Ubuntu and open source products. The role involves investigating and resolving complex issues, collaborating with customers, and contributing to knowledge base articles. This is a globally remote position for a profitable and growing company focused on open source innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and escalate customer issues
  • Resolve complex customer problems
  • Ensure SLA adherence and customer satisfaction
  • Engage with customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions
  • Participate in weekend working rotation
  • Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles
  • Understand Ubuntu development process

Requirements

  • Professional English communication skills
  • Exceptional academic record
  • Technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Linux systems support experience (KVM, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Cloud computing expertise
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills
  • Programming fundamentals
  • Extensive customer support experience
  • Ability to travel internationally twice a year
