Job Description

Canonical is seeking a Linux Engineer/Administrator with a passion for Linux and Customer Success to provide technical support for customers using Ubuntu and open source products. The role involves investigating and resolving complex customer problems, owning support cases from start to finish, and contributing to knowledge base articles. This is a globally remote position with opportunities for professional development and travel.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and escalate customer issues
  • Resolve complex customer problems
  • Own support cases and meet SLA requirements
  • Engage with customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions
  • Participate in weekend working rotation
  • Contribute to and maintain knowledge base articles
  • Understand Ubuntu development process

Requirements

  • Professional English communication skills
  • Exceptional academic record
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Linux troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Linux integration
  • Programming fundamentals
  • Ability to travel internationally
