Job Description

LG Electronics is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to join their R&D Center in Alpharetta, Georgia. This role involves the manufacturing and development of LG HVAC equipment, conducting research and development based on analytical thinking and market understanding, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.

Responsibilities

• Support new LG NPI Product Development
• Work cross-functionally with sales, manufacturing, and program managers
• Evaluate go-to-market strategy and review technical documents
• Provide engineering insight and improvement solutions
• Screen and analyze new product performance
• Statistically evaluate and interpret product data
• Review current design shortcomings
• Understand acquisition hardware/software
• Assist in preparing manuals for commercialization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC, water heating, and/or unitary products
• Working knowledge of vapor compression and heat transfer principles
• Experience in design and development of evaporators, condensing units, and/or heat exchangers
• Exposure to manufacturing processes and designing for manufacturability
• Ability to multi-task and operate independently
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• 3D CAD software knowledge and GD&T understanding
• Proficient in Microsoft Power Point and Excel
