Job Description

LG Electronics is seeking a Senior Chiller Consultant for a long-term consulting opportunity within their R&D Chiller Business Management Team. This remote position, based in Alpharetta, Georgia, requires travel to Korea for meetings and involves providing technical guidance and support for chiller projects, focusing on design, development, and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consulting on chiller system design
• Support R&D initiatives for new technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Analyze aerodynamics, structural integrity, and heat exchanger performance
• Mentor engineering teams
• Guide product development from concept to launch
• Evaluate and improve existing chiller systems
• Plan and execute system-level testing
• Stay updated on industry trends
• Prepare technical reports and presentations

Requirements

• 20+ years of experience in chiller R&D or project delivery
• Experience in high-temperature heat pump or data center design preferred
• Strong knowledge of turbo compressor, heat exchanger, and magnetic bearing
• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; Ph.D. preferred
• Experience in aerodynamic and structural design
• Understanding of HVAC industry regulations
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to travel
• Korean language skills preferred
