LG Magna e-Powertrain USA, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Power Electronics Engineer to join their team in Troy, MI. The role involves collaborating with customers and the HQ Engineering Center to deploy advanced technologies for electric vehicle powertrain development, providing on-site support, leading root cause analysis, and creating technical communication for RFQs and new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Guide customer technical communication
• Attend PDT meetings
• Provide recommendations to HQ development team
• Create and maintain engineering specifications
• Support APQP, DFM/DFA, and IATF 16949 compliance
• Provide on-site engineering support
• Lead root cause analysis of warranty products
• Lead technical risk reporting
• Create technical information for RFQs
• Perform technical research and benchmarking

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering
• 5+ years of development engineering experience in automotive or related industry
• Experience in power electronics engineering
• Skill in semiconductor analysis
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Proficient in circuit analysis equipment
• Skill in selecting electrical components
• Adaptability to flexible work schedules
• Proficient in MS Project and MS Office
