Job Description

SimpliSafe is seeking a Senior Imaging Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of their security camera and lighting systems. This role requires expertise in imager and lens performance, image quality tuning, and system architecture to deliver industry-leading image quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural definition and design of camera modules
• Research, evaluate, and select image sensors
• Define and evaluate optical lens systems
• Develop and execute test plans for camera prototypes
• Design and lead image quality testing
• Calibrate and fine-tune Image Signal Processor (ISP) parameters
• Own validation plans for production-ready camera systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience in camera system design and validation
• Deep expertise in CMOS image sensors, optical systems, and image quality metrics
• Proficiency in scientific programming languages (Python, MATLAB)
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
