Job Description

SimpliSafe is seeking a Network Engineer II to join their IT Infrastructure Team in Richmond, Virginia. This role will focus on supporting and maintaining the enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and enhancing network performance to ensure secure and reliable connectivity for the company's 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise network technologies
• Implementing firewall rules and secure networking policies
• Troubleshooting connectivity issues across LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud environments
• Performing routine upgrades and lifecycle management
• Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery testing
• Monitoring network performance and capacity
• Maintaining technical documentation
• Delivering new network solutions

Requirements

• Up to 4 years of enterprise network engineering experience
• Experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, Meraki, and ZScaler
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and VPN technologies
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• On-site presence in Richmond, VA
• Collaborative mindset
• Participation in on-call rotation
