Job Description

True Anomaly is seeking a GNC Engineer to develop and implement Guidance, Navigation, and Control systems for spacecraft, contributing to space security and sustainability. The role involves end-to-end development, algorithm design, software implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end GNC system development
  • Design, test, and validate GNC flight software
  • Develop attitude and orbit determination algorithms
  • Design control laws for attitude and orbit control
  • Lead creation of high-fidelity simulations
  • Conduct system-level GNC trade studies
  • Define GNC subsystem requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams
  • Support on-orbit commissioning and anomaly resolution
  • Mentor junior engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience developing spacecraft GNC systems
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Understanding of spacecraft dynamics and orbital mechanics
  • Experience with estimation and filtering
  • Experience designing control laws
  • Ability to develop and maintain complex simulations
  • Experience testing and integrating GNC algorithms
  • U.S. Citizen
