Job Description

True Anomaly is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to develop innovative technology for space security and sustainability. The role involves all aspects of GNC system development, from architecture definition to on-orbit operations, with a focus on enhancing U.S. and allied space capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own GNC system development
  • Design, test, and validate GNC flight software
  • Develop AOD/AOE algorithms
  • Conduct trade studies for GNC hardware
  • Develop and implement GNC algorithms
  • Design and improve 6-DOF simulation environments
  • Utilize control analysis tools
  • Define GNC requirements and interfaces
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams
  • Support on-orbit commissioning and operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or related field
  • 0 - 6 years of GNC Engineering experience
  • Coursework in spacecraft attitude dynamics, orbital mechanics, and control systems
  • Strong understanding of physics and software development
  • Experience with C++ and/or Python
  • Familiarity with spacecraft GNC concepts
  • Exposure to filtering methods
  • Ability to build, test, and debug software
  • Strong analytical skills
