Job Description

True Anomaly is seeking a highly accomplished Chief Engineer to architect, develop, and lead advanced flight sciences for their next-generation missile defense program. This role focuses on aerodynamic, guidance, and control foundations for high-velocity reentry vehicles and hypersonic flight control, ensuring interceptor precision and survivability.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the technical baseline for models, simulations, and performance criteria
• Shape the long-term roadmap for aerodynamic, guidance, and terminal control capabilities
• Define and oversee the flight sciences architecture
• Lead a multidisciplinary flight sciences team
• Establish technical standards and processes
• Drive execution and mission assurance
• Lead technical reviews
• Oversee risk identification and mitigation
• Guide test and validation campaigns

Requirements

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in aerospace flight sciences, missile defense, or hypersonic vehicle programs
• Expertise in reentry vehicle aerodynamics, hypersonic flight control, and terminal intercept dynamics
• Strategic thinking and ability to connect technical architectures to program strategy
• Deep technical credibility in CFD, aerothermal modeling, and advanced control systems
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational influence
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for DoD Secret clearance
