Job Description

True Anomaly is seeking a creative and technically strong Thermal Engineering Manager to lead and grow their thermal engineering capability. This role involves hands-on spacecraft thermal design and analysis, as well as managing and mentoring a small team of thermal engineers to ensure the success of rapidly developed space systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of thermal engineers
  • Develop revolutionary thermal designs
  • Perform integrated thermal analysis
  • Design thermal control components
  • Assist with electronic thermal predictions
  • Coordinate thermal interfaces
  • Lead Thermal Vacuum and Thermal Cycle testing
  • Review technical documentation
  • Support on-orbit operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of professional experience in space thermal analysis and control
  • Excellence in thermal vacuum testing, analysis, and model correlation
  • Thermal experience with spacecraft subcomponents
  • Proficiency in Thermal Desktop and SolidWorks
  • Experience setting technical standards
  • Passion for the space industry
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
