Job Description

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced enterprise SaaS sales leader to develop and scale the segment within the Large Enterprise Public Sector/Verticals sales organization. The role focuses on accelerating growth across State/Local Government and Education customers through strategic account planning, executive relationship building, and driving software and services bookings.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing enterprise SaaS sales team
  • Drive strategy and exceed quarterly/annual sales objectives
  • Increase senior executive relationships with C-level executives
  • Develop trust-based relationships with internal leaders
  • Develop pricing/packaging and product expertise
  • Execute account/territory/opportunity planning and forecasting
  • Coach Regional Directors and Account Executives
  • Identify and champion solutions to address growth inhibitors
  • Utilize core applications (Smartsheet, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Travel 30-50%

Requirements

  • Track record of exceeding sales objectives in State/Local Government and Education Accounts
  • Proven ability to drive land and expand sales strategies
  • Competence in building value-based relationships
  • 7+ years of experience leading strategic software teams
  • 10+ years of experience in the software industry with enterprise SaaS experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC)
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company
  • BA/BS degree or MBA preferred
