Job Description

Galileo is seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead the technical strategy, development, and execution of their next-generation bank core, Cyberbank Core. This role involves building services, infrastructure, and data pipelines for a lean core banking platform, managing multiple teams, and ensuring alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Own technical vision and delivery execution
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leaders
• Ensure codebase supports rapid product development
• Attract, retain, and develop engineering talent
• Foster technical excellence and customer-centric thinking
• Manage remote engineering teams
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable engineering practices
• Drive design and implementation of SaaS services and data pipelines

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in leadership
• Deep expertise in cloud-based solutions
• Strong understanding of agile development
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience with AWS or other public cloud infrastructure
• Experience in a regulated industry
• Bi-Lingual Spanish/English is a MUST
