Job Description

Galileo is seeking a Software Engineer to advance financial inclusion and digital transformation by adapting their platform to local-market needs. The role involves implementing new functionality, architecting systems, bug fixing, code maintenance, and contributing to the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
• Deliver highly available, resilient, and scalable services
• Mentor other engineers and support the technological culture
• Write, test, deploy, and monitor efficient, scalable code
• Communicate with project leads, product managers, and other developers
• Participate in code and design reviews
• Become a domain expert in payment processing

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of programming experience in Python
• Experience with automated testing, building, and deployment systems (CI/CD)
• Ability to lead and influence a team's technical direction
• Experience with database and cloud technologies (Preferably AWS)
• Ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system
• Experience with Kubernetes, EKS/Lambda/RDS/Aurora/Dynamo
