Job Description

Truveta is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and reinforcement learning to build AI systems for healthcare. The role involves developing, training, and deploying foundation models on clinical data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to research in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, training, and deployment of LLMs
• Apply SFT, RLHF, PEFT, prompt tuning, and RAG techniques
• Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers
• Build scalable infrastructure for distributed training
• Design and evaluate models for robustness and explainability
• Stay current with research and contribute to the community

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering or machine learning (3+ with PhD)
• Experience designing and training LLMs
• Deep expertise in NLP and transformer architectures
• Proficient in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch/TensorFlow)
• Experience with RL-based fine-tuning
• Proven ability to lead projects and collaborate
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
