Appian is seeking a Lead Application Engineer to design, deliver, and guide a team in building enterprise applications with AI at the core. This role involves setting technical direction, coaching developers, and leveraging Appian’s AI features to improve business operations. The position requires full-time, in-office presence at the McLean, Virginia headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers
• Build and deploy applications using Appian and AI features
• Integrate systems through web APIs
• Partner with stakeholders to reimagine processes with AI
• Establish and enforce development best practices
• Support and improve business applications

Requirements

• B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 4+ years of Appian delivery experience
• Strong track record of leading teams or projects
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and API integrations
