Job Description

Appian is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Strategic Finance to lead the development and measurement of all revenue metrics, providing actionable insights that guide go-to-market and product strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS business models, pricing strategies, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own revenue modeling and its evolution
• Lead definition and tracking of SaaS revenue metrics
• Analyze financial impact of SaaS pricing models
• Partner with sales and legal on enterprise deals
• Collaborate on consolidated financial model
• Develop scalable processes for financial forecasts
• Drive special projects and ad-hoc analyses
• Prepare presentations for senior leadership

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking
• Proven expertise with SaaS pricing models
• Deep understanding of SaaS business models and revenue recognition
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in Excel, Anaplan, Power BI, and Tableau
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline; MBA or CFA preferred
