Job Description

The Principal GRC Security Analyst at Appian will advise and assist federal customers in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Appian-based solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, the government's IT security authorization process, and experience with the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

Responsibilities

• Leading and Applying RMF Processes
• Driving ATO and FedRAMP Authorization
• Designing Secure Solutions
• Mentoring Junior Analysts
• Collaborating with Customers and Internal Teams
• Contributing to Security Authorization Strategies
• Maintaining Knowledge of Federal Policies
• Contributing to System Security Packages (SSPs)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, or similar
• Active Government Clearance (Top Secret and above)
• Ability to maintain an Active TS:SCI Clearance
• 5+ years of experience as an IT systems administrator with security focus
• Demonstrated experience in NIST RMF and ATO processes
• Proven ability to contribute to System Security Packages (SSPs)
• Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
