Job Description

Appian is seeking a Business Analyst for Insurance solutions to gather business requirements, create detailed documentation, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions for customers. This role requires a strong background in the insurance industry, understanding of software development, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements
• Translate requirements into functional specifications
• Execute user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Communicate requirements conflicts
• Manage requirement traceability
• Conduct market research
• Identify potential improvements
• Facilitate solutions strategy
• Facilitate partner enablement
• Provide training and support to customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of experience as a business analyst in the Insurance vertical
• Experience with insurance software solutions (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.)
• Insurance industry qualification (e.g., CPCU, LOMA)
• Willingness to travel 10%
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
