Job Description

Appian is seeking a Business Analyst for Insurance solutions to gather business requirements, create documentation, and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions for customers. This role involves market research, stakeholder engagement, and support for product launch and adoption initiatives within the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements
• Translate requirements into functional specifications
• Execute user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Communicate requirements conflicts
• Manage requirement traceability
• Conduct market research
• Identify potential improvements
• Facilitate solutions strategy
• Facilitate partner enablement
• Provide training and support to customers

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in enterprise software business analyst role (Insurance vertical)
• Experience with insurance software solutions (Guidewire, Duck Creek, ALIP, FAST etc.)
• Insurance industry qualification (e.g., CPCU, LOMA)
• Willingness to travel 10%
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work independently
