Job Description

Appian is seeking a Proposal Manager for the Public Sector to support the U.S. Public Sector sales organization in developing and delivering responses to solicitation requests. The role involves guiding writing teams, managing proposal development, and ensuring compliance with best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage proposal development, production, and delivery
  • Review solicitations and create response templates
  • Provide guidance on writing and response strategies
  • Coordinate and edit input from various stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in content and compliance reviews
  • Review final proposal documents for editing and formatting
  • Participate in proposal team strategy initiatives
  • Maintain and grow a library of reusable content
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring team members
  • Spearhead additional content or strategic projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (writing intensive fields preferred)
  • 3+ years of public sector proposal development experience
  • Thorough understanding of the proposal-management process
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. federal and state/local government procurement processes
  • Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Google Suite preferred
  • Experience with proposal software preferred
