Job Description

Appian is seeking a talented Information Security Engineering Intern to contribute to their Information Security team. The intern will assist with security engineering projects, support security operations, monitoring, and compliance, and develop tools and systems to protect critical assets from emerging threats. This internship offers an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment and gain experience in evaluating security concerns, vulnerability management, and industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with security engineering projects
• Support security operations, monitoring, and compliance
• Develop and work on tools and systems to protect critical assets
• Evaluate international security concerns
• Analyze and investigate security related data
• Design and implement enhanced detection technologies
• Conduct risk analysis and provide recommendations
• Design and build security tools and processes
• Conduct security research and present findings
• Identify, design, and execute on security projects

Requirements

• Interest in building systems to enable Appian InfoSec to adapt and defend against modern attacker techniques
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux/Unix systems
• Familiarity in object-oriented programming languages (Java, Python, or C++)
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills
