Interface AI is building a universal banking assistant powered by AI. As a Staff Engineer – Core Platform, you will architect, scale, and evolve the distributed systems foundation that powers Interface.ai’s next-generation AI experiences, enabling real-time AI interactions, secure orchestration, and low-latency execution.

Responsibilities

• Designing and scaling low-latency, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Architecting microservices and event-driven systems
• Integrating Vector Databases and Embedding Stores
• Partnering with AI and Product teams to embed LLMs
• Defining technical standards and best practices
• Driving continuous improvement in code quality

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering
• Deep understanding of distributed systems
• Expertise in low-latency systems
• Strong experience with microservices architecture
• Hands-on experience with Vector DBs and Embeddings
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or Python
• Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Experience with resilience and observability tools
• Passion for clean code and automated testing
• Experience mentoring teams and enforcing code quality
