Job Description

Interface AI is building a universal banking assistant to help millions of U.S. consumers manage their finances. They are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to build responsive, user-centric interfaces that make advanced AI capabilities intuitive and accessible, requiring strong fullstack expertise and a keen eye for interaction design.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern, performant web interfaces using React (or equivalent)
• Build backend APIs (Node.js), orchestration layers, and real-time messaging systems
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn wireframes and prototypes into production-ready experiences
• Design and implement frontend patterns, design systems, and reusable UI components
• Handle session management, personalization logic, and dynamic content rendering
• Optimize for accessibility, localization, responsiveness, and performance

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional experience in frontend or full stack engineering
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, accessibility (a11y), and responsive design principles
• Experience in building backend systems working with real-time data and WebSocket-style protocols
• Strong product sensibility and empathy for UX, edge cases, and error states
