Job Description

Interface AI is building a universal banking assistant to help millions of U.S. consumers manage their finances. They are seeking a Full Stack Staff Engineer to join their team and build responsive, user-centric interfaces that make advanced AI capabilities intuitive and accessible.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern, performant web interfaces using React (or equivalent)
• Build backend APIs (Node.js), orchestration layers, and real-time messaging systems
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to turn wireframes into production-ready experiences
• Design and implement frontend patterns, design systems, and reusable UI components
• Handle session management, personalization logic, and dynamic content rendering
• Optimize for accessibility, localization, responsiveness, and performance

Requirements

• 9+ years of professional experience in backend or full-stack engineering
• Strong backend programming skills (Java, Node.JS)
• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue)
• Experience building and scaling distributed services, APIs, and event-driven systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• Experience integrating services with data stores, message queues, and external APIs
• Deep understanding of HTML, CSS, accessibility, and responsive design principles
• Strong product sensibility and empathy for UX
