Job Description

As a Director of Engineering at TELUS Digital, you will guide and implement strategy for Marketing Services, impacting the success of the engineering discipline, project teams, and clients. You'll partner with Design and Delivery directors to coach teams, deliver quality products, and champion a culture of engagement and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and engineering leadership to guide decisions and plan product roadmaps
  • Lead teams to deliver high-quality products for Fortune 500 clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
  • Coach project leaders to navigate challenges and instill confidence in clients
  • Simplify complexity and drive teams forward
  • Serve as a point of leadership escalation for clients and teams
  • Facilitate information sharing and collaboration across business units
  • Conduct deep dives with teams starting new projects
  • Assist teams during major launches
  • Contribute to hiring and retention activities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineering managers
  • Build self-sufficient project teams

Requirements

  • Significant experience with software development and delivery process
  • Experience leading teams to deliver large and complex software projects for Fortune 500 clients
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with developing large, complex enterprise ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of project management best practices
  • Experience leading, managing, and mentoring diverse teams
  • Ability to simplify complex problems and communicate priorities
