Khan Academy is seeking an experienced and versatile assessment content creator to develop new, innovative K-12 assessments, specifically for middle school mathematics. The role involves creating high-quality assessment content, ensuring alignment with standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and innovating with AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create K-12 assessments leveraging subject matter expertise
• Use and improve content and item management systems
• Ensure alignment of items with standards and best practices
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams
• Innovate with new item types using AI technologies
• Participate in ideation and review processes

Requirements

• Experience in large-scale K-12 assessment development
• Deep pedagogical expertise and knowledge of state and national standards
• 2+ years classroom experience teaching middle school mathematics
• Focus on assessment as a positive learning experience
• Experience with collaborative work on time-sensitive projects
• Interest in using AI tools for content creation
• Excellent communication and detail-oriented skills
• Excellent time management skills
