Job Description

Khan Academy is seeking a talented Psychometrician to join their Assessments team. This role will contribute to key data initiatives, perform statistical analyses, and support senior psychometricians with assessment projects, including automated scoring and computer adaptive testing (CAT).

Responsibilities

• Extract and transform assessment data
• Perform psychometric and other statistical analyses
• Track and report on assessment metrics
• Support senior and principal psychometricians with assessment projects
• Assist with and conduct standard setting meetings
• Contribute to research efforts exploring the intersection of ML, generative AI, and psychometrics

Requirements

• Motivated by Khan Academy's mission
• 3+ years of education, training, and experience in statistics and/or psychometrics
• 3+ years of statistical programming experience in Python, Go, or R
• Experience working with databases and SQL
• Cross-cultural competency skills
• Ability to balance assessment rigor with innovation
• Positive growth mindset
• Bias to action
