Job Description

Khan Academy is seeking a Regional Sales Account Executive to join their District Partnership team and expand partnerships with schools and districts in the Southeast. The role involves driving impact for students by securing new partnerships, nurturing leads, and working closely with internal teams to achieve sales goals and optimize renewal rates.

Responsibilities

  • Secure strong leads for new partnerships and nurture them through the sales cycle.
  • Engage in robust lead generation.
  • Nurture leads to determine the best fit between district needs and Khan Academy's offerings.
  • Engage internal teams to move leads through the sales cycle.
  • Develop effective proposals.
  • Close sales.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Sales Manager on the outbound generation process.
  • Serve as the main sales point of contact for existing partners.
  • Meet monthly and yearly sales targets.
  • Identify and attend relevant EdTech conferences.
  • Assist the Inside Sales Associate on processing inbound leads.
  • Provide feedback on sales collateral and pitch materials.
  • Ensure new partners are successfully transitioned to partnership managers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to offer additional services.
  • Coordinate with the RFP Manager on creating and submitting responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Work with the legal team to process contracts.
  • Relay partner feedback to product teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales or partnerships roles, with at least 2 years selling or partnering into US schools or school districts.
  • Proactive, self-motivated sales professional with strong networking skills.
  • Strong written, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Rolodex of district contacts and decision makers in the Southeast.
  • Ability to understand the needs of all stakeholders in the school district ecosystem.
  • Experience with outbound lead generation and pipeline management.
  • Experience using a CRM (Salesforce).
  • Understanding of districts’ procurement processes.
  • Deep understanding of the K-12 Education market and EdTech providers.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively.
  • Passion for education and driving meaningful change.
  • Strong understanding of the K-12 curricular landscape.
  • Proven cross-cultural competency skills.
  • Motivated by the Khan Academy mission.
