Khan Academy is seeking a language expert to support their Math and Science offering in Telugu. The role involves managing a team of localization experts, interacting with state teachers, and ensuring high-quality localized content that aligns with the Indian curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and editing Telugu content
• Collecting feedback from state teachers
• Managing a team of 5-6 localization experts
• Highlighting modifications needed from textbooks
• Rewriting content in Telugu
• Researching phraseology
• Proofreading and editing translated versions
• Adapting Khan Academy’s Style Guide
• Developing and updating a glossary of terminology

Requirements

• Fluent in Telugu (speaking and writing)
• Native Telugu speaker
• Comfortable with Science up to class XII level
• Ability to manage a team of 5-6 people
• Keen eye for detail and quality audits
• Tech-savvy and tech-curious
