Job Description

Khan Academy is seeking a Telugu Text Localization Expert to join their freelance team. The role involves localizing Math and Science content from English to Telugu, ensuring quality and relevance for Indian learners. The ideal candidate will have fluency in Telugu, a passion for Math and/or Science, and experience in academic localization.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and editing Telugu content
• Creating and localizing new content
• Collecting feedback from teachers
• Localizing text from English to Telugu
• Highlighting modifications needed
• Rewriting text in the target language
• Researching phraseology
• Proofreading and editing translated versions
• Developing and updating glossaries

Requirements

• Fluent in Telugu (speaking and writing)
• Native Telugu speaker
• Previous localization experience (preferably academic)
• Keen eye for detail
• Comfortable with Math and/or Science up to class XII level
• Proficiency in understanding English
• Knowledge of CAT Tools (preferred)
