Job Description

Globalization Partners is seeking a Commercial Counsel Team Lead – Americas to join their diverse, remote-first team. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of contracts, providing legal advice and support, and collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and mitigate risk within a global, high-growth company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts
  • Negotiate master agreements with prospective customers
  • Liaise with business teams on contract matters
  • Provide training on company policies and procedures
  • Monitor contractual rights, obligations, and risks
  • Drive negotiation strategy and risk mitigation
  • Utilize contract management systems
  • Analyze and revise contracts for compliance
  • Provide legal advice and support on product development and compliance
  • Conduct legal research
  • Assist with corporate work and legal tasks
  • Coordinate and drive completion of commercial projects

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active law license in a U.S. jurisdiction
  • At least 24 months of experience in a commercial counsel position
  • Experience supporting sales and procurement with contract negotiation
  • Experience negotiating SaaS contracts
  • Experience providing legal advice and support for product development and compliance
  • Ability to perform job duties and work via telecommuting during Pacific Time working hours
