Job Description

Metronome is seeking an experienced infrastructure leader to own and scale the technical foundation that powers their platform. As Head of Infrastructure, you'll lead a growing team of engineers responsible for the real-time systems that process billions of events and millions of invoices, enabling innovative companies to build their operations on Metronome.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 15+ infrastructure engineers
• Build and scale the infrastructure organization structure
• Own the technical roadmap for Metronome's infrastructure layer
• Partner with engineering leadership to balance infrastructure investments
• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of real-time systems
• Maintain and enhance comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability
• Lead incident response and post-mortem processes
• Architect infrastructure solutions that support exponential customer growth
• Foster a culture of operational excellence

Requirements

• 8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
• Track record building and scaling engineering teams
• Proven track record scaling critical infrastructure at high-growth companies
• Deep expertise in modern infrastructure technologies
• Strong operational excellence background
• Experience partnering with product engineering teams
• Excellent communication and technical judgment
