Hivemapper is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive the architecture, design, implementation, and evaluation of core distributed systems and data platforms that power their data customers, consumer products, and AI technology. The role involves collaborating across the company to ensure system adaptability and leading technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture, design, implementation, and evaluation of core systems and data platforms
• Partner across the company to ensure system adaptability
• Help plan technical roadmaps and lead technical strategy

Requirements

• Experience building production critical systems used by thousands of users
• Deep backend experience with large scale data platforms, DB, ETL, distributed systems
• Strong analytical skills in ML, math, statistics, quantitative economics
• Track record of deploying and maintaining large scale distributed systems
