Job Description

Centuria is seeking a Cable Installer to support the 66th Air Base Group's mission by maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and testing copper and fiber optic cabling systems, both classified and unclassified. The role involves working as part of a contracted IT service delivery team and ensuring efficient service delivery and infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot copper/fiber optic cabling systems
• Configure, install, and test high-speed copper and fiber cabling
• Monitor hardware stock levels
• Provide materials lists and labor estimates
• Update cable topology drawings using AutoCAD
• Document processes
• Manage work orders and provide customer service
• Install communications backboards and cabinets
• Install fiber optic cabling (direct buried/conduit)
• Operate in underground/confined spaces
• Monitor and calibrate test equipment
• Interact with customers and resolve issues
• Provide after-hours support

Requirements

• Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office
• Experience with structured cabling (CAT5e, CAT6)
• Experience with fiber optic cable plants
• Proficiency with cable test equipment and TIA/EIA standards
• Ability to lift 70+ lbs
• Critical thinking and leadership skills
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
• Strong customer service skills
• High School Diploma with three years of experience
