Job Description

This role supports the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia, contributing to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security by providing IT engineering and technical services for system engineering and support functions, including network and systems management, application server administration, and security maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT engineering and technical support
• Manage USFF networks (Top Secret, Secret, Coalition, Unclassified)
• Configure and deploy network clients
• Support NETAPP hardware/software for Cisco Flexpod
• Administer application servers (Single Sign On, Identity Management, etc)
• Provide on-site support for application end users
• Maintain system, network, and application security
• Provide 24x7 on-call technical support

Requirements

• BA/BS or AA/AS in related field or Computer Network Administration Certification and 4 years experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
• Knowledge of Data Backup and Recovery processes (Cohesity, Veeam)
• Knowledge of DISA STIG requirements
• Experience with Disa DOD GPO implementation
• Knowledge of CND compliance requirements
• Knowledge of DOD’s HBSS
• Experience in virtualization technology (VMWare, Cisco HyperFlex, Flexpod)
• Active Secret clearance
• CompTIA SEC+ certification
