Job Description

Flexport is seeking a seasoned import brokerage and trade compliance expert to drive growth in their Customs and Trade Management products. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert, identifying and closing new business opportunities, and collaborating with Demand and CSM teams to deliver solutions to prospects and clients. The position offers a greenfield opportunity with uncapped commission potential.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Customs and Consulting services
  • Support Demand/CSMs and increase revenue acquisition
  • Liaison between Demand and operations
  • Perform background research and lead generation
  • Draft sales documentation and proposals
  • Stay abreast of customs and compliance developments
  • Determine client needs
  • Ensure sales engagement with decision-makers
  • Gather data for proposals
  • Interview stakeholders
  • Describe benefits to the client
  • Develop account sales plans

Requirements

  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Licensed Broker preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in import/export compliance and sales
  • Proven record of increasing sales opportunities
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop sales strategies
  • Ability to recognize and solve client issues
  • Experience identifying process gaps
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently
