Flexport is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Import Team, focused on building and maintaining systems that automate operational workflows and develop AI-powered features within a microservice architecture. The role involves collaborating with engineers and business partners to solve complex problems in the global trade industry, with a focus on rapid product development and high-quality code.

Responsibilities

• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems
• Design, develop, test, and maintain logistics systems
• Collaborate with engineers on complex problems
• Work with business partners and product managers
• Build and launch products rapidly
• Ensure product quality through metrics and post-mortems

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience
• 2+ years of design and architecture knowledge
• Knowledge of a programming language (Ruby, C, C++, Java, or Kotlin)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
