Job Description

Labelbox is seeking an Applied Research Engineer to focus on the data required for modern AI agents, including browser interactions, code traces, and GUI sessions. The role involves creating frameworks, designing data programs, developing pipelines, and collaborating with research teams to advance agent capabilities and shape Labelbox's strategy in this area.

Responsibilities

• Create frameworks and tools for agent training and evaluation
• Design agent-focused data programs using SFT and RL
• Develop data pipelines from diverse sources
• Implement and adapt open-source agent libraries
• Engage with research teams and customers
• Publish research findings

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience addressing ML problems
• Experience building and training autonomous agents
• Experience with agentic benchmarks
• Understanding of frontier models and data requirements
• Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Track record of publications
