Job Description

The NFL is seeking a Director to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure within stadiums and arenas. This hands-on role requires a strong background in wireless design, spectrum analysis, and network architecture, with a focus on ensuring high reliability and performance for football technology networks and fan event setups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead network design and architecture
  • Document network standards and guidelines
  • Develop network design proposals
  • Research and design network technology upgrades
  • Maintain and publish stadium DAS guidelines
  • Lead audits of cellular and DAS performance
  • Collaborate with cellular vendors
  • Manage network installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Provide support for stadium network technicians
  • Manage network diagrams and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Respond to technical escalations
  • Provide network performance reports
  • Mentor junior network engineers
  • Stay current with network technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • 10+ years of network implementation and troubleshooting experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in network architecture
  • 5+ years of wireless design and stadium DAS design experience
  • Proficiency in Cisco products
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Visio, Excel, and Word
  • CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent
