Toptal is seeking a General Manager, Staffing to drive the growth of their new staffing business line. This role involves building the business from the ground up, including market positioning, strategy, and achieving profitability. The position requires a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on both client engagement and internal cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth, pipeline health, and gross margin
• Optimize supply and demand
• Analyze market opportunities
• Build and test new offerings
• Lead creation of execution plans
• Work with clients as a trusted business partner
• Establish analytics and feedback loops
• Develop and execute a staffing business plan
• Identify infrastructure and legal requirements
• Recruit and manage a team
• Scale infrastructure for execution

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred
• 7+ years of sales leadership in staffing/recruiting
• 3+ years of P&L ownership
• Experience in non-professional staffing
• Experience building a new business from scratch
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Commercial acumen and financial understanding
• Adaptability and ownership
• World-class individual contributor
