Job Description

The VP of Marketplace Operations will lead the strategy, structure, and execution of Toptal’s talent platform, ensuring scalable growth while maintaining quality standards. This role involves building operational frameworks, leading cross-functional teams, and driving performance through data-driven insights and scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy for talent supply and client demand
• Streamline processes for sourcing, screening, and placing talent
• Gain insights from data and analytics to make business decisions
• Lead and motivate a growing team
• Ensure collaboration between clients, talent, and core teams
• Implement a performance framework with KPIs
• Enhance training materials for high-quality standards
• Develop feedback loops and optimize talent screening

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale operations with supply/demand components
• Ability to execute upon business unit KPIs
• Proven analytical and strategic planning skills
• Understanding of Data Architecture and Analytics toolkits
• Experience with process improvement and workflow enhancements
• Financial acumen for pricing strategies and ROI optimization
• Experience with compensation program development
• Experience working with Product Managers
• Experience with risk management and fraud prevention
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
